MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys swim team continued its strong surge in recent weeks with a 98-62 victory over D.C. Everest in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual Tuesday at Marshfield High School.
The Tigers won all but one event in the victory to improve to 3-4 in conference dual meets.
Michael Josephson won the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, Aaron Scheets took first in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke, and Jake Akin won the 50 free and 500 free for the Tigers. Those three, along with Tom Stevning-Roe – winner of the 100 butterfly – also won the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.
The Marshfield JV will compete at Medford on Monday and the varsity is off until Feb. 2 when it has its final home meet and WVC dual against Wisconsin Rapids.
