MARSHFIELD – Marshfield won all but two events and wrapped up its Wisconsin Valley Conference boys swimming dual meet season with a 94-71 win over Wisconsin Rapids on Monday.
Jake Akin won the 200 freestyle (2:06.25) and the 100 freestyle (54.95), and Aaron Scheets took first in the 200 IM (2:16.16) and 100 backstroke (58.50) to help the Tigers to the victory. The two also combined with Josh Herron and Tom Stevning-Roe to win the 200 medley relay in 1:53.01.
Other winners for Marshfield were Alex Shulman in the 50 freestyle (24.71), Stevning-Roe in the 100 butterfly (1:04.82) and Joe Dickinson in the 500 freestyle (6:30.10).
The Tigers’ team of Jack Gellerman, Jake Krueger, Al Reeser and Shulman also won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:44.93.
Marshfield will compete at the Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet on Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
