SPENCER – Spencer used big runs in the second and fourth quarters to pull past Abbotsford 66-41 in a nonconference girls basketball game Tuesday night at Spencer High School.
The Rockets trailed 15-13 after the first quarter before using an 18-6 run in the second quarter to open up a 31-21 lead at halftime.
Spencer (10-4) closed out the game with an 18-5 advantage in the fourth quarter.
Kyleigh Hebert led the Rockets with 22 points. Tara Matter added 12 points and 15 rebounds and Courtney Schulz had 14 points, making six of eight free throws for Spencer.
Kim Lecheler had 22 points to account for more than half of Abbotsford’s points.
The Rockets play at Augusta on Thursday.
