WEST BEND – Paige Albrecht poured in a season-high 36 points and snatched five steals to lead the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team to a 74-61 win at UW-Washington County on Wednesday.

Marissa Draxler added 17 points and five blocked shots, Tiffany Becker grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds, and Heather Adrian added 10 rebounds and seven steals for the Marauders (13-7).

“The ladies are coming along great,” Marauders coach Rhonda Keding said. “They are working together, they know what each other can do and they are putting it all together. They have a lot of potential and I’m proud of them.”

UW-Marshfield/Wood County hosts UW-Fox Valley on Saturday as part of a women’s-men’s doubleheader. The women’s game begins at 1 p.m. with the men’s game to follow at 3 p.m.
