MARSHFIELD – Marshfield Columbus Catholic held a 12-10 lead after one quarter but was outscored by 17 the rest of the way, dropping a 46-31 decision to Greenwood in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Friday night at Columbus Catholic High School.
Lindsay Hertel scored all five of her points in the opening quarter to help the Dons (5-12, 4-10 Cloverbelt East) build a 12-10 lead.
Greenwood (9-8, 6-7 Cloverbelt East) responded with a 12-6 advantage in the second quarter and the Indians outscored Columbus 24-15 in the second half of the win.
Liz Manlick scored 11 points to lead the Dons, who return to action on Feb. 16 at Neillsville.
Rachel Herdrich had 16 points and Kassandra Humke added 10 for the Indians.
