OWEN – Aleyna Goerlitz scored 19 points to lead three Owen-Withee players in double figures as the Blackhawks overwhelmed Spencer 61-29 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Friday night at Owen-Withee High School.
Spencer beat Owen-Withee earlier this season but Friday’s game was no contest from the start.
The Blackhawks led 32-16 at halftime and outscored the Rockets 18-6 in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.
Bailey Karaba had 16 points and Alyssa Gordon added 12 for Owen-Withee (16-2, 12-2 Cloverbelt East), which shot 50 percent from the field (25 of 50).
Spencer made just 12 of 43 shots from the floor.
Courtney Schulz had 10 points for the Rockets (12-5, 9-4 Cloverbelt East), who play a nonconference game at Rib Lake on Monday.
