Marshfield boys hockey team wraps up regular season with shutout win at Medford

MEDFORD – Bobby Leggon scored a pair of unassisted goals in a 2-minute stretch and Mac Alboreo saved all 18 shots that came his way to lead the Marshfield boys hockey team to its third straight win, a 3-0 nonconference victory over Medford on Friday night.

With the victory, Alboreo set Marshfield boys hockey team records for most career and season victories.

Leggon scored with 23 seconds left in the first period and 1:11 into the second period to give the Marshfield a 2-0 lead.

Jake Andreae added another goal, off an assist from Zac Leggon, at the 12:45 mark of the second period for the Tigers’ other score.

Alec Waldhart had 34 saves for Medford (0-20).

Marshfield ends the regular season with an 11-10-1 record and will open postseason action Thursday with a WIAA regional final at Chequamegon/Phillips.
