Marshfield girls hockey team grabs sixth straight victory beating Medford

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls hockey team wrapped up its Great Northern Conference schedule with its sixth straight victory as the Tigers shutout Medford 3-0 on Friday at the Marshfield Youth Ice and Recreation Arena.

The Tigers, 8-0-1 in their last nine games, end the GNC season with a 9-2-1 record and in second place in the standings. Point-Rapids wrapped up the title with a 10-5 win over Tomahawk on Friday night.

Paige Johnson, Morgan Larson and Nicole Karl each scored a goal for Marshfield, with one coming in each period.

Bailey Jozwiak assisted on the first goal and Nell Eichten had assists on the last two goals for the Tigers.

Marshfield wraps up its regular season with a nonconference game at home Saturday against Eau Claire/Altoona.

The Tigers will turn around and host Medford again next Thursday in a WIAA regional final at 7 p.m.
