LA CROSSE – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County finished its regular-season schedule with a 91-80 loss to Western Technical College on Monday night.

Marissa Draxler scored 25 points, Paige Albrecht had 20 points, and Bailey Klieforth added 12 points, 11 rebounds and six assists for the Marauders (14-8).

“They put a box-and-one on us to shut Paige down but that didn’t stop us,” Marauders coach Rhonda Keding said. “Everyone is a shooter on this team. We just miss a lot of 2-3 foot shots. We make at least half of them and we pull through with a win.

“I give a lot of credit to these ladies. Now we just have to focus on the playoffs. We can’t be one-and-done. These girls work too hard. We need to stay mostly mental from here on out.”
