MARATHON – The Auburndale boys basketball team won its 20th straight game and clinched at least a share of its second straight Marawood Conference South Division championship with a 67-41 win over Marathon on Tuesday night at Marathon High School.
The Apaches improve to 20-0 and 13-0 in the Marawood South, grabbing at least a share of the conference title. Auburndale plays at second-place Stratford (16-3, 12-1 Marawood South) in the conference finale on Friday night. With a win, Auburndale would take sole possession of the Marawood South title, while Stratford would gain a share of it with a victory.
