STRATFORD – USBancorp rolled up 145 pounds, 53 from Chris Newbury, in a 145-65 win over L&N Hardwoods during Stratford STAR Men’s Basketball League action Sunday night.
Mike Wilke added 36 points, Malachi David had 22 and Josh Franklin had 20 for USBancorp. Ben Meyer topped L&N with 20 points.
In other action Sunday:
*Athens defeated Marawood Construction 87-70 behind 26 points from Kyle Davis. Chad Landwehr had 22 points for Marawood.
*Smazel’s Hunters Choice knocked off DFF Kitchen Cabinets 83-74. Chris Hannula led Smazel’s with 27 points.
*Jake Frombach scored 25 points as Down Under edged After Hours 74-70. Chris Klempke had 23 points for After Hours.
*Barry Messmer scored 26 points for Resource Recovery in a 73-66 win over Festival Foods.
*MOB beat Lindsey Bar & Grill 78-73. Josh Hennes had 30 points and Dodge Langreck added 22 for MOB. Bill Hanson scored 24 points and Shawn Handke chipped in 20 for Lindsey.
*The Shack roughed up Rozellville 79-48. No scoring leaders were reported.
