WISCONSIN DELLS – The Marshfield boys golf team placed eighth at the Wisconsin Dells Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
The Tigers scored a two-day total of 685. Middleton won the team title with a score of 616, 16 shots ahead of second-place Holmen.
Michael Josephson shot a 7-over par 79 on Friday at Trappers Turn to lead Marshfield to a first-day total of 341.
Craig Serchen had an 84, Brandon Brown and Josh Berres each had 89s and Evan Schneider shot a 93 for Marshfield on Day 1.
Saturday, Marshfield played at Christmas Mountain and shot a 344. Brown led the Tigers with an 80. Berres had an 85, Josephson shot an 88, Serchen had a 91 and Schneider had a 92.
Middleton’s Mitch Johnson won individual medalist honors with a two-day total of 145, edging Waunakee’s Austin Braska by one stroke.
Marshfield hosts Stevens Point, D.C. Everest and Antigo at Riveredge Golf Course on Tuesday.
