ATHENS – The Spencer track and field team competed at the Athens Invitational on Tuesday.
No team scores were reported.
Freshman Rachel Zastrow had Spencer’s best individual performance, taking second in the pole vault (9 feet). She also placed fourth in the 300 hurdles (51.75 seconds).
Freshman Paige Lawrence also had a fourth-place finish in the 400 (1:09.19).
Spencer’s Josh Olson had the boys team’s top finishes, taking third in the triple jump (39-6¾) and fifth in the 100 (12.32).
Danny Schubert also took fifth in the 300 hurdles (47.24) for the Rockets.
Edgar’s Kyle Schueller and Hannah Pospyhalla each won three events.
Schueller won the boys long jump, triple jump and 200 meters, while Pospyhalla won the girls high jump, 400 and 800.
