MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County tennis team braved the cold weather to hold its annual UW-Marshfield Tennis Invitational on Saturday.
The No. 1 doubles team of Ben Riesterer and Jared Ystad, No. 5 singles player Brian Brost and No. 6 singles player Mike Solberg won championships for the Marauders with a pair of wins.
Janel Vantassel (No. 3 singles), Breann Haubert and Kelsey Fierke (No. 1 doubles), Riesterer (No. 1 singles) and Ystad (No. 4 singles) won one match for UW-Marshfield.
No team scores were kept.
The Marauders wrap up their short season this week with a triangular meet at UW-Baraboo on Monday and the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference state tournament on Friday and Saturday in Madison.
