GILMAN – Jeremy Binder tossed a complete game, striking out nine, to lead the Marshfield Columbus Catholic baseball team to a 6-2 road win against Gilman on Tuesday in Cloverbelt Conference East Division action.
Binder scattered five hits and struck out two to earn the win for the Dons (4-7, 4-5 Cloverbelt East).
Bryce DeSmet went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Columbus.
Columbus used a three-run second inning to take a 4-0 lead and added two more in the fifth to keep its distance against the Pirates (6-5, 4-4 Cloverbelt East).
The Dons hosts Neillsville on Thursday.
