MARSHFIELD – A total of 60 players participated in the Marshfield Tennis Association’s annual Marshfield Tennis Tournament on Saturday and Sunday at courts throughout the city.

Five divisions of singles and three divisions of doubles were held.

Winners in each division were awarded trophies and free entry into next year’s tournament.

Singles
Men’s A
Championship: Shanon Denzine (Marshfield) defeated David Zalewski (Antigo) 6-7, 6-2, 6-1.
Third place: Kevin Eckes (Marshfield) def. Scott Sikora (Marshfield) 6-1, 4-6, 7-5.
Consolation: Lee Brandenburg (Kronenwetter) def. David Droste (Marshfield) 7-5, 7-6.
Men’s B
Championship: Ryan Weichelt (Eau Claire) won round-robin with 3-0 record.
Women’s
Championship: Nadeen Lieberman (Marshfield) def. Holly Reckner (Stratford) 6-3, 6-4.
Third place: Elizabeth Manlick (Auburndale) def. Renee Wesolowski (Marshfield) 6-0, 6-2.
Consolation: Erin Ott (Marshfield) def. Sara Vesel (Schofield) 6-3, 7-5.
Boys’ 17-and-under
Championship: Trevor Gifft (Maple Grove, Minn.) def. Hunter Schultz (Marshfield) 6-0, 6-1.
Third place: Jake Limmex (Marshfield) def. Luke Yenter (Rosholt) 4-6, 6-3, 10-6.
Consolation: Nick Reckner (Marshfield) def. Shane Simenstad (Marshfield) 6-0, 6-1.
Coed 14-and-under
Champion: Derek Reckner (Marshfield) def. Evan Fait (Marshfield) 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.

Consolation: Kurt Klopton-Tom Duncan (Marshfield) def. Ryan Weichelt (Eau Claire)-Doug Reckner (Stratford) 6-2, 6-1.
