Marshfield girls tennis team wins second straight WVC match

WAUSAU – The Marshfield girls tennis team won its second straight Wisconsin Valley Conference match, downing Wausau West 5-2 on Thursday at West High School.

Marshfield No. 1 singles player Nadeen Lieberman and No. 2 singles player Martha Kupfer, as well as the No. 3 doubles team of Olivia Haessly and Emily Seidel all improved to 3-1 in the conference this season after posting wins over West.

Other winners for Marshfield were the No. 1 doubles team of Cammie Warner and Erin Ott, and the No. 2 doubles team of Emily Serchen and Taylor Hardinger.

The Tigers will compete in the Eau Claire Memorial Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
