SPENCER – The Spencer volleyball team roughed up Wisconsin Valley Lutheran 25-13, 25-14, 25-12 in a nonconference match Thursday night at Spencer High School.
The Rockets, which wrapped up the Cloverbelt Conference East Division title with a win over Owen-Withee on Thursday, celebrated Senior Night with a big win.
Tara Matter had 15 kills and three aces, Tynae Phillips added nine kills and Brooke Kettleborough had a team-high 17 assists in the win for Spencer.
“It was a great night to thank all of our seniors for the four years of hard work they have put in for Spencer volleyball,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “Now we have to bear down and get ready to host Eau Claire Regis next Thursday night.”
Spencer plays Regis in a Cloverbelt Conference crossover first-place game on Oct. 11 at Spencer High School.
Alicia Endreas led Spencer in aces with five and digs with 15, Julia Berres added 10 assists and two aces, and Sam Nikolay had 10 digs for the Rockets.
