TOMAHAWK – The Auburndale volleyball team tied Tomahawk and Osceola with 4-1 records, but ended up second in a tiebreaker at the Tomahawk Tournament on Saturday at Tomahawk High School.
Auburndale’s Nicole Nikolay (55 kills, 44 digs) and Camille Swart (29 kills, 19 digs, 10 assists) were named to the all-tournament team.
Auburndale defeated Nekoosa, Reedsville and Chippewa Falls McDonell 2-0, and beat Tomahawk 2-1 before losing to Osceola 2-1.
The Apaches finished second in the tiebreaker to Tomahawk based on their 9-3 set record.
Kendra Kundinger led the Apaches with 60 assists and added 44 digs and 19 kills, Hannah Castellano had a team-high 47 digs, and Ashley Breu also had 19 kills for Auburndale in the five matches.
The Marawood Conference South Division champion Apaches wrap up their regular-season schedule with a nonconference match at Athens on Thursday.
