WESTON – Tyson Slade tossed three touchdown passes and Jimmy Draeger returned a kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown but the Marshfield freshman football team came up on the short end of a 33-27 decision to D.C. Everest in its season finale Thursday at D.C. Everest Middle School.
Slade threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Evan Korteum and 17-yard scores to Adam Fravert and Drew Hanson for the Tigers.
Draeger had two fumble recoveries and Jeremy Brost, Craig Lyon, Aaron Peters and Jon Hardinger led the Tigers’ defense in tackles.
Marshfield finishes the season with a 2-5-1 record.
