Three Marshfield girls soccer players help Central FC Select team to Premier League title

Marshfield High School girls soccer players Darian Molter, Walker Guzowski and Emily Goeppinger recently completed their fall season with the Central FC Select Strikers out of the Portage County Youth Soccer Club in Stevens Point.

The Strikers defeated Neenah Velocity 3-1 in their final game on Oct. 31 to win the Girls U17 Premier League championship. Central FC Select needed to win the final game to surpass Neenah in the standings.

The fall scheduled started Sept. 8 and Central FC Select finished 7-0-2 in the Premier League.

Molter had an assist on a goal Megan Charette that gave the Strikers a 1-0 lead over Neenah in the first half.

Molter scored off an assist from Guzowski and Abby Bohnaski added the Strikers final goal in the win.

The Strikers team played together throughout the summer as well, winning the Region II President Cup in Kansas in June, and finishing fourth at the National President Cup in Sacramento, Calif., in July.
