Auburndale and Stratford each had four first-team selections named to the 2012 All-Marawood Conference Football Team.
All of Auburndale’s first-team selections were on offense: quarterback Blake Anderson, tight end Austin Hawkins, offensive lineman Ben Bolder and flanker/slot back Isaac Castellano. Hawkins was a unanimous first-team pick.
Stratford’s first-team choices were offensive lineman Caleb Bryant, running back Travis Urlaub, defensive end/outside linebacker Hunter Kauffman and inside linebacker Davis Drews. Braynt also was a second-team pick at defensive line.
Urlaub was second in the conference in rushing with 684 yards and led the Marawood in scoring with 92 points (15 touchdowns, 1 2-pt conversion).
Anderson was second in the Marawood in passing yards with 1,268 and touchdowns with 14.
Castellano led the conference with 32 receptions and was fourth in yards with 417. Hawkins was second in both receptions (29) and yards (516), while leading the Marawood with 10 TD receptions.
Marathon’s Vince Dinkel was named Back of the Year after catching 28 passes for 462 yards and seven touchdowns and was a first-team pick at both flanker/slot back and defensive back.
Marshall Stieber of Edgar was a first-team pick at both offensive and defensive line and was named Marawood Lineman of the Year.
Jerry Sinz of conference champion Edgar was chosen as Coach of the Year.
