RICE LAKE – The Marshfield gymnastics team’s season came to an end with an eighth-place finish Saturday at the WIAA Division 1 sectional at Rice Lake High School.
Eau Claire Memorial/North won the meet and Stevens Point finished second to reach the WIAA State Gymnastics Tournament, which will be held Friday and Saturday at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School.
Katie Golden had Marshfield’s top finish in the all-around, taking 18th place with a combined score of 30.975. Kami Oppman was 21st and Myranda Schmitt finished 22nd for the Tigers.
Golden had the top individual performances as well for Marshfield, placing 19th in the floor exercise (8.275) and 20th in the vault (8.375).
