ST. PAUL, Minn. – Brad Dolezal, a 2011 graduate of Marshfield High School, has begun his redshirt freshman season on the University of Minnesota wrestling team.
Dolezal, wrestling at 157 pounds, is 13-4 with two pins, two major decisions and one technical fall for the Golden Gophers.
Minnesota, ranked No. 2 nationally by WrestlingReport.com, in the is 3-0 in dual meets and 6-0 overall this season, including 1-0 in the Big Ten after beating Nebraska 27-7 on Nov. 16. Dolezal lost 14-9 in that dual.
The Gophers host Oklahoma State in a nonconference match Sunday and return to Big Ten action on Dec. 7 at home against Northwestern.
Dolezal and Minnesota will wrestle at Wisconsin on Feb. 10.
