Hudson topples Marshfield girls hockey in overtime

MARSHFIELD – Sydney Squires scored 2:48 into overtime to give Hudson a 3-2 win over Marshfield in a nonconference girls hockey game Saturday at the Marshfield Youth Ice and Recreation Arena.

The Tigers fall to 2-2-1 overall and host Baraboo in a nonconference game Monday at 7 p.m.

Paige Johnson scored both goals for Marshfield, the second coming 1:35 into the third period to tie the score at 2-2.

Squires had a short-handed goal in the second period that gave Hudson the lead.

Alexis Straughan had 38 saves for Marshfield.

Hudson (1-1) goalie Nali Mullan had 22 saves.
