Columbus Catholic boys basketball beats Gilman for fourth win in a row

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team won its fourth straight game, taking down Gilman 54-44 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Tuesday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

Jared Fleischmann scored 15 points and Jacob Puent had 12 for the Dons, who improve to 5-2 and 2-2 in the Cloverbelt East.

Columbus used a 13-5 run in the second quarter to take a 30-18 halftime lead.

Tyler Amborn had 13 points for Gilman, which falls to 0-4 overall and in the Cloverbelt East.

Columbus plays at Augusta on Friday.
