D.C. Everest blasts Marshfield boys hockey

WESTON – D.C. Everest scored four goals in the first period and three more in the second to beat the Marshfield boys hockey team 7-2 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference opener for both teams.

The Tigers drops to 2-4 overall, while Everest improves to 2-2.

Cole Halligan scored three times and had two assists, and Brandon Dively added two goals for the Evergreens.

Michael Plaza and Avery Allard each added a goal for D.C. Everest.

Zach Leggon and Tanner Moon scored for Marshfield.

Brad Krueger had 29 saves for the Tigers, while Michael Moe saved 10 shots for Everest.

Marshfield returns to action Thursday when it hosts Wausau West at 7 p.m.
