STEVENS POINT – Denver Anderson won the 100 backstroke and Zach Korth took first in the 100 breaststroke for the Marshfield boys swimming team in a 93-69 Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet loss to Stevens Point Area Senior High on Thursday night.
Anderson won the 100 back in 1:07.17 and Korth in the 100 breast in 1:14.97.
The Tigers’ 400 freestle relay team of Dylan Johnson, Nolan Redetzke, Brian Engel and Anderson also won in 4:22.63.
“The Tiger boys continue to grow in technique and speed,” Marshfield coach Faye Egger said. “We had many good swims tonight. I feel the score doesn’t represent the strides we made in becoming more competitive.”
Marshfield is at the Rhinelander Hodag Invitational on Saturday.
