Marshfield girls hockey blasts Tomahawk

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield girls hockey team scored six times in the opening period and pounded Tomahawk 10-0 in a Great Northern Conference matchup Friday night at the Marshfield Youth Ice Recreation Arena.

Nell Eichten scored four goals, Paige Johnson and Kessa Schreiner each scored twice and had an assist, and Morgan Larson had four assists for Marshfield, which improves to 4-2-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the Great Northern Conference.

Tomahawk managed just eight shots on goal, all saved by Marshfield goalie Alexis Straughan. The Hatchets fall to 0-3 and 0-2 in the GNC.

Marshfield plays at the Eau Claire All Stars on Saturday.
