UW-Marshfield/Wood County women pick up road win at UW-Waukesha

WAUKESHA – Corrine Meacham scored 26 points and Kaitlynn Mefferd had 20 points and rebounds to lead the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team to a 77-61 win at UW-Waukesha on Saturday.

The win is the Marauders’ sixth straight and pushes their record to 9-2 overall and 7-1 in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference.

Meacham made 13 of 16 shots from the field, while Mefferd was 8 of 10 on free throws.

Mckenzie Trunkel added 17 points for Marshfield

“The girls played an outstanding game,” Marauders coach Rhonda Keding said. “I am so proud with the effort I got out of all of them. Each game and especially practices they know what I want out of them.”

UW-Marshfield hosts UW-Washington County at 6 p.m. Monday.
