DE PERE – The Marshfield girls basketball team dropped its second game in as many nights, losing to De Pere 55-35 in a nonconference game Saturday at De Pere High School.
De Pere (4-0) is the reigning WIAA Division 1 state champion and are ranked No. 1 in the WisSports.net/WBCA Division 1 Coaches Poll.
Marshfield falls to 2-2 after the loss. The Tigers also lost to Wausau West in their Wisconsin Valley Conference opener on Friday.
Marshfield struggled shooting, making just 12 of 55 shots and 3 of 19 from 3-point range.
Caitlin Michaelis had 12 points, Ellie Kummer added nine and Ellie Fehrenbach had six points and six rebounds for the Tigers.
Anderson scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds for De Pere.
Marshfield returns to action on Friday at home against D.C. Everest.
