Central Wisconsin Storm shuts out Marshfield girls hockey

WAUSAU – Kelly Knetter scored 31 seconds into the second period and Arielle Riedel added a goal late in the third to lift the Central Wisconsin Storm to a 2-0 win over Marshfield in a nonconference girls hockey game Monday at Marathon Park.

The Storm controlled action, allowing just 11 shots on goal by Marshfield – all of which were saved by Lisa Fowle.

Alexis Straughan had 29 saves for Marshfield, which falls to 4-4-1.

The Storm improves to 8-0 win the win.

Marshfield host Point/Rapids on Friday in a Great Northern Conference game at the Marshfield Youth Ice and Recreation Arena.
