Stratford boys basketball tops Edgar for second straight Marawood win

EDGAR – The Stratford boys basketball team won its second straight Marawood Conference South Division game, beating Edgar 42-36 on Tuesday night at Edgar High School.

The Tigers improve to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in the Marawood South, while Edgar falls to 1-4 and 0-4 in the conference.

Travis Urlaub scored 13 points and Nolan Bargender had 10 points and eight rebounds for Stratford.

The Tigers pulled ahead with a big first half and led 24-13 at halftime.

Tyler Kirsch topped Edgar in scoring with 13 points.

Stratford is off for a week and takes on Wausau Newman Catholic at home on Dec. 18.
