STRATFORD – Keri Doll scored 12 points and Hannah Schmitt had 10 rebounds to lead the Stratford girls basketball team to a 54-31 nonconference win over Northland Lutheran on Monday night.
The win for the Tigers is their third this season against Northland Lutheran and improves their record to 6-16 overall. The Wildcats fall to 4-18.
Stratford led 26-19 at halftime then outscored the Wildcats 28-12 in the second half to win going away.
Rachel Ludwig, Dani Austin and Jenessa Denfeld each scored eight points for Stratford. Denfeld added eight rebounds and all of Austin’s points came from the free-throw line, where she made 8 of 10.
Stratford made 15 of 20 free throws, compared to Northland Lutheran, which was just 10 of 26.
Stratford plays at Edgar (15-7) in a WIAA Division 3 regional quarterfinal on Tuesday, March 9.
