MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield wrestling team split a pair of nonconference dual meets on Friday night at Marshfield Middle School.
The Tigers defeated Rice Lake 52-21 and lost to Edgar 51-28. Edgar defeated Rice Lake 54-24 in the other dual of the three-team meet.
In the win over Rice Lake, Tyler Manthe, Carsten Lovstad, Josh Lang, Brett Hasbrouck and Kane Seubert all won by pin for Marshfield. Mitch Hertel added a major decision and Brandon Baltus and Luke Mahoney each earned decisions for the Tigers.
Noah Gerdes and Tristan Wilson won by pin, Hertel won by major decision and Tyler Manthe and Devon Klement each won by forfeit for Marshfield in the loss to Edgar.
Marshfield wrestles at Stevens Point next Thursday.
