WESTON – Dondrick Tackes remained unbeaten on the season, winning the 195-pound championship, as the Stratford wrestling team finishing fifth at the Fred Lehrke Evergreen Invitational on Saturday at D.C. Everest High School.
Tackes beat Jake Reiter of Clintonville 6-0 in the 195-pound title match to improve to 18-0 this season for the Tigers.
Stratford had three second-place finishes and four more Tigers took third.
Anthony Christmas (106 pounds), Anthony Gliniecki (113) and Alex Heiden (132) each finished second for Stratford, while Sam Wenzel (106), Phil Sersch (126), Kellen Bornbach (170) and Hunter Kauffman (220) each took third.
Stratford hosts Athens in a Marawood Conference dual match Tuesday.
