STRATFORD – Brooke Schultze had 20 points and Hannah Schmitt added 16 to lead the Stratford girls basketball team to a resounding 66-27 win over winless Pittsville on Monday night at Stratford High School.
The Tigers improve to 7-4 and 2-4 in the Marawood South, while Pittsville falls to 0-11 and 0-6 in the conference.
Stratford jumped out quickly to a 17-4 lead after the first quarter and led 36-10 by halftime.
The Tigers made 27 of 55 shots from the field while holding Pittsville to just 10 of 44.
Sarah Schmitz and Marissa Ortner each had eight points for the Panthers.
Stratford now has 10 days off before playing at Marathon on Jan. 17.
