UW-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team rolls past UW-Barron County

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team returned from semester break and rolled to a 72-54 win over UW-Barron County on Wednesday at the Marauder Gym.

McKenzie Trunkel had 21 points, making 7 of 14 shots from 3-point range. Brynn Salava had 17 points, Corrine Meacham had 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Kaitlynn Mefferd just missed out on a triple-double with 12 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists for the Marauders.

The Marauders improve to 12-2 overall and return to action on Jan. 16 at UW-Fox Valley.
