MARSHFIELD – Jesse Bejcek scored 27 points and pulled down 18 rebounds, lifting the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team to a 76-74 win in overtime over Fox Valley Tech on Friday night in the first round of the 43rd Annual Marauder Classic.
Zach Zettler added 13 points and Cain Trunkel had 11 for the Marauders (12-2).
UW-Marshfield/Wood County will play Gogebic Community College in the championship game of the tournament on Saturday at 2 p.m. Gogebic beat UW-Fond du Lac 76-42 in the other semifinal.
UW-Fond du Lac and Fox Valley Tech will play in the consolation game at noon.
