PHILLIPS – Tara Matter scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Spencer girls basketball team to a 46-28 rout of Phillips in a nonconference game Monday at Phillips High School.
Matter made 9 of 13 shots from the field and all four of her free-throw attempts in the victory.
Macie Weber added six points and five rebounds, and Marisa Johnson had five points and seven boards for the Rockets (6-5).
Spencer hosts Marshfield Columbus Catholic in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game on Thursday. That game will be broadcast on WOSQ-FM 92.3 and wdlbwosq.com beginning with pregame at 7:15 p.m.
