STRATFORD – The Stratford STAR Men’s Basketball League held a food drive Sunday, collecting six bags of donations for local food pantries.
Eight games also were played.
*A&B Process Systems scored a league-high 117 points in a 117-75 win over Smazel’s Hunter’s Choice. Tony Schultz scored 31 points, Shawn Steinke had 29 and Kyle Davis added 24 for A&B. Brian Bartnik had 30 points and Jimmy Flink scored 20 for Smazel’s.
*Resource Recovery beat The Shack 75-71. Joel Christopherson had 24 points for Resource Recovery. Marshall Lehman led The Shack with 27 points.
*Kafka Granite edged Arby’s 82-80. Ryan Schalow had 31 points and Brian Heusi scored 20 for Kafka. Nick Sternitzky led Arby’s with 26 points.
*Lee Follen scored 24 points to lead Lindsey Bar & Grill to an 87-68 win over Marawood Construction.
*USBancorp knocked off Country Wireless 100-82. Chris Newbury and Malachi David each scored 25 points in the win. Eric Custer had a league-high 39 points and Jake Kolb scored 20 for Country Wireless.
*Jake Frombach scored 23 points and Chris Kalk had 21 for Down Under in a 75-51 win over After Hours.
*Kizzy & Sue’s Bar & Grill won a pair of games, beating Victory Apparel 100-56 and Southway Pub 96-92. Jay Fuehrer had 27 for Kizzy & Sue’s in the win over Victory Apparel, and Aaron Linzmeier scored 30 to lead the team in the win over Southway Pub.
