Stratford wrestling team wraps up Marawood season with win over Auburndale

STRATFORD – The Stratford wrestling team wrapped up its Marawood Conference regular-season schedule with a 57-16 win over a short-handed Auburndale squad on Thursday night at Stratford High School.

The Tigers finish the Marawood season with a 6-1 dual meet record, while Auburndale ends up 3-4.

The two teams will compete at the Marawood Conference Tournament on Saturday at Edgar.

Stratford won six matches by forfeit and got pins from Phil Sersch (120 pounds), Kellen Bornbach (170) and Hunter Kauffman (285).

Bobby Wiskerchen (138) and Trevin Oertel (182) had pins for Auburndale.
