NEKOOSA – Nekoosa/Port Edwards won four of the final five matches to squeak out a 37-31 win over Stratford in a nonconference wrestling match Thursday night at Nekoosa High School.
Alex Heiden (132 pounds) and Hunter Kauffman (220) won by pin for Stratford.
Kellen Bornbach (170) added a major decision and Brice Murray (182), Dondrick Tackes (195) and Phil Sersch (126) also won decisions for Stratford.
The Tigers will compete at the WIAA Division 3 regional on Feb. 9 at Auburndale.
