LOYAL – Loyal outscored Spencer 30-22 in the second half and edged the Rockets 56-54 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division boys basketball game Friday night at Loyal High School.
Spencer led 32-26 at halftime after a dominating 19-8 second quarter, but the Rockets couldn’t keep that momentum going into the second half.
Jeremiah Cattanach had 19 points and eight rebounds, and Cody Esser added 12 points and eight rebounds for Spencer (6-11, 5-10 Cloverbelt East).
Mason Froeba had 19 points, making 7 of 11 shots from the field, and Logan Fulwiler added 16 points for Loyal (6-11, 6-9 Cloverbelt East).
Spencer plays at Granton on Monday and at Abbotsford on Tuesday.
