Marshfield girls basketball loses third straight, falls at D.C. Everest

WESTON – D.C. Everest handed the Marshfield girls basketball its third straight loss, beating the Tigers 72-46 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference game Friday night at D.C. Everest High School.

Everest improves to 12-4 overall and 6-2 in the WVC. Marshfield falls to 9-8 and 3-6 in the Valley.

Lauren Anklam scored 22 points, making all nine of her free throw attempts, and Makayla Pagel added 13 points and nine rebounds for D.C. Everest.

Darian Molter had 16 points and Caitlin Michaelis added 13 points and seven rebounds for Marshfield.

The Evergreens held a 36-21 rebounding advantage and shot 49 percent (27 of 55) in the victory.

Marshfield hosts Rhinelander in a nonconference game on Tuesday.
