UW-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team wins 16th in a row, downs UW-Rock County

MARSHFIELD – Brynn Salava scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Kaitlynn Mefferd had 12 points and 16 rebounds to lead the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team to a 75-58 win over UW-Rock County on Saturday at the Marauder Gym.

The Marauders won their 16th straight game and improve to 20-2 overall and 18-1 in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference.

Mckenzie Trunkel had a team-high 22 points for UW-Marshfield.

The Marauders women wrap up its regular-season schedule Wednesday at home against UW-Marinette. Game time is 6 p.m.
