KRONENWETTER – Melanie Brandl led a balanced scoring attack with nine points as the Auburndale girls basketball team defeated Northland Lutheran 46-30 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Tuesday night at Northland Lutheran High School.
The Apaches improve to 14-6 and 10-3 in the Marawood South, moving into second place by one-half game over Marathon. Northland Lutheran drops to 6-12 and 2-10 in the conference.
Auburndale used a 7-2 second quarter to take a 19-9 halftime lead and pushed the lead to 18 after three quarters.
The Apaches host undefeated Wisconsin Rapids Assumption in their Marawood South finale on Thursday.
