Stratford boys basketball outlasts Edgar in Marawood South finale

STRATFORD – The Stratford boys basketball team wrapped up its Marawood Conference South Division schedule with a 46-36 win over Edgar on Thursday at Stratford High School.

The Tigers outscored Edgar 13-4 in the fourth quarter to pull away and grab their 15th win of the season. Stratford improves to 15-6 and finishes the Marawood South season at 8-6 and in fourth place. Edgar falls to 10-11 and 3-11 in the conference.

Jake Reif scored 12 points, making a pair of 3-pointers, and Andrew Marcis added nine points for Stratford.

Caden Untiedt had 17 points and seven rebounds for Edgar.

Stratford hosts Rib Lake in the Marawood North-South fourth-place crossover game on Friday, then will play Edgar again at home in a WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal on Tuesday. Edgar plays Gilman in a nonconference game at home Friday.
