ALTOONA – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team lost for just the second time in its last 13 games, dropping a 45-44 decision to Altoona in the third-place game of the Cloverbelt Conference East-West crossovers on Thursday at Altoona High School.
The Dons wrap up the regular season with a 16-6 record, while Altoona improves to 10-12.
Columbus Catholic opens up WIAA postseason play Tuesday with a home game against Plum City in a Division 5 regional quarterfinal. The game starts at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on WDLB-AM 1450 and wdlbwosq.com.
