KRONENWETTER – Hannah Schmitt poured in 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds, leading the Stratford girls basketball team to its third win in a row this week as it defeated Northland Lutheran 49-26 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Thursday at Northland Lutheran High School.
Schmitt was 8 of 9 from the free throw line as the Tigers were 19 of 25 overall in the win.
Stratford led 20-14 at halftime, then pulled away with a dominating 29-12 second half.
The Tigers wrap up the Marawood South portion of their schedule with a 5-9 record and improve to 11-9 overall. Stratford finishes its regular season with a nonconference game Monday at home against Iola-Scandinavia and a Marawood Conference crossover fifth-place game on Feb. 21.
